	With the two new measurement modules for wireless data transmission, 4TempOnAir (transmitter) and 4LinkOnAir (receiver), AFT Atlas Fahrzeug-technik GmbH simplifies the data acquisition on rotating components. Until now, a slip ring has been used for measuring the temperature of, e. g., the brake system. Instead of that 4TempOnAir is mounted directly onto the rim and transmits the data to the 4LinkOnAir. The new PikesPEAK is used for high-speed measurements, long-term and rotational analyses in the laboratory, at the test-bench and real-world in-vehicle use. The high-speed data logger records transient signals with a sampling rate analogue up to 500 kHz and counting accuracy of 100 ps. Because of the modular design, the system can be adapted to different measuring tasks. 	The Plastic Welding Division of LPKF Laser & Electronics AG is focused on development, production and worldwide distribution of systems for laser plastic welding. An interesting field of application is the patented hybrid welding technique, which is especially developed for large three-dimensional parts. Hybrid welding combines a monochromatic laser source with a polychromatic halogen light. The many advantages of this innovative technology are shown at their best when welding visible joints (e.g. car head lights and tail lights). Moreover the benefits of the LPKF hybrid welding method are the complete absence of any fuzz or fluff, and the fact that it causes no internal stresses – avoiding the need for complex further processing such as tempering. 	The second MOST Forum took place on March 23rd, 2010, in Frankfurt, Germany. 150 professionals from the automotive electronics industry and academia participated in the very informative conference and visited the accompanying exhibition. The broad international audience was composed of attendees from Europe as well as India, Japan, South Korea, and the United States. Besides the OEM's perspective and discussion of the ongoing MOST150 development and production launch, the message of the MOST Forum concentrated on two aspects: flexible means of connectivity to the MOST network and the readiness of MOST150 for new applications beyond pure infotainment. The conference marks the kickoff for the MOST future in proving the technology's compliance to new connectivity interfaces and functionalities. Response was positive overall: the attendees very much appreciated the high quality of the conference. They were enthusiastic about the informative and interesting presentations and looked forward to future MOST events.
	DiagRA MCD Toolset and Silver Scan-Tool by RA Consulting Measurement, calibration, diagnostics RA Consulting GmbH presents the software tools DiagRA MCD Toolset and Silver Scan-Tool. DiagRA MCD Toolset has the three options for measurement, calibration and diagnostics of electronic control units in vehicles. The diagnostics option DiagRA D is currently used by more than 10.000 users working with car manufacturers and their development partners worldwide. RAC presents the new functions for script-based execution, logfile analysis and for remote control via the so called Web-Services in accordance to the new ASAM HIL-API. Silver Scan-Tool is a specialized diagnostics software that lets the user access the diagnostics functions defined in the SAE J1979 – OBDII and EOBD – and SAE J1939 – HD OBD – for the diagnostics of emission relevant control units in vehicles that are demanded by the governments. Silver Scan-Tool has, beside the support of the OBD services, additional development functions like, for instance, a logfile formatter for the logfiles of the official SAE J1699-3 OBD II Compliance Test Cases tool and comes with several remote control options for the use on test benches and simulators.
